Accepting a grant from the Fund for Cities of Service, Inc. to the City of Saint Paul.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has received a grant from the Fund for Cities of Service, Inc. which will provide up to 2 AmeriCorps VISTA members and $25,000 in Grant Funds for the Cities of Service City Hall AmeriCorps VISTA Experience Matters Program for the 2019-2020 program year; and
WHEREAS, Cities of Service City Hall AmeriCorps VISTA Experience Matters Program will support the implementation of the Experience Matters Impact Volunteering initiative; and
WHEREAS, This funding and human capital recognizes the City’s commitment to develop an Impact Volunteering initiative to engage volunteers 50+ years of age in addressing public problems related to the drivers of poverty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul accepts this grant and authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into a Grant Agreement with Fund For Cities of Service, Inc. Cities of Service City All Americorps VISTA Experience Matters.
