Authorizing the Department of Public Works to accept the donation of travel and hotel costs from Avolve Software for a Project Manager to attend a ProjectDox Regional Meeting on August 21, 2019 in Downers Grove, IL.
Body
WHEREAS, Avolve is the largest, independent software vendor dedicated exclusively to electronic plan review and is the City of Saint Paul’s Electronic Plan Review vendor; and
WHEREAS, the company will be sponsoring a Midwest regional meeting, where the primary subject discussed will be regional best practices for moving to and using Electronic Plan Review; and
WHEREAS, the Project Manager has been invited to present at this meeting where the costs of travel, air, lodging and meals will be covered by Avolve Software; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of the Project Manager’s participation in this event is to present St. Paul’s experience transitioning to electronic plan review and provide information that will benefit attendees from other cities in the region; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department would like to accept this unsolicited donation of up to $1,000 (one thousand dollars);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul that:
1. The City of Saint Paul accepts this generous donation and extends its sincere thanks to the Avolve Software, 4835 E. Cactus Rd, Suite 420 Scottsdale, Arizona 85254
2. The Director of the Public Works Department and appropriate City staff are authorized and directed to take the necessary actions to implement this Resolution.
