Authorizing the Neighbors United Funders Collaborative to accept a donation up to $1000 from Concordia University for the Breakfast Pitch Event.
Body
WHEREAS, Concordia University, 1282 Concordia Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55104, wishes to donate up to $1000 for the Neighbors United Funders Collaborative's Breakfast Pitch event; and
WHEREAS, the Breakfast Pitch event will help gather support from potential partners and sponsors to create a Community Benefits Fund that supports the neighborhood surrounding Allianz Field; and
WHEREAS, the donation will go towards the event costs associated with the event, including space rental and catering; and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul City Council appreciates donations that assist with achieving a Community Benefits Fund at the Snelling-Midway Redevelopment site to benefit local businesses, residents, and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the creation of the Community Benefits Fund was requested from City Council Resolution 16-1407; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of this generous donation from Concordia University.
