Body

WHEREAS on January 17, 2018, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 17-91, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during March 27 to June 21, 2017. (File No. VB1802, Assessment No. 188801); and

 

WHEREAS, the property at 292 Burgess Street, being described as: Atwater Street Addition to the City of St. Paul Ramsey County, Minn. Lot 2 Blk 1, with the property identification number 25-29-23-42-0127 was assessed an amount of $2,284; and

 

WHEREAS, the property owner contacted City Council Office and indicated he has been living there since 2009 but it got referred to Fire inspections; and

 

WHEREAS, Department of Safety and Inspections staff recommends deleting the assessment because the property was only in the vacant building program for a few months as a Category 1;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $2,284, plus any accrued interests, is deleted and the Offices of Financial Services will abate this reduction from the 2019 Property Taxes Statement.
