Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to accept a gift from Minnesota Hockey Ventures Group, LP.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, (the “City”) and Minnesota Hockey Ventures Group, LP (the, “Tenant”), executed the Second Amendment to Arena Lease, (the “Lease Agreement”) effective April 8, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RES 19-267 on February 20, 2019 which authorized execution of the Lease and related matters; and
WHEREAS, the Lease will extend the term of the agreement between the City and the Tenant by 10 years through 2035; and
WHEREAS, to commemorate the execution of the Lease and extension of the term the Tenant has given the City a framed photograph of the Arena and associated tokens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul wishes to accept and finds a public purpose for the above-referenced gift from the Tenant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the generous gift of the presentation of these items and extends its thanks to Minnesota Hockey Ventures Group, LP.
