Amending the 2019 budget for Innovations Initiative in the Office of Financial Services by $5,337 to expend remaining grant dollars provided by the Knight Cities Challenge Grant - Pop Up locations.

WHEREAS, In 2017 the Office of Financial Services received $74,600 in grant funds from the Knight Cities program to support the City Artists, Innovation Team, and Library Department in building upon the success of Pop Up Meeting to give Saint Paul residents power to design their own community meetings by creating a suite of joyful civic engagement tools; and
WHEREAS, City Council authorized the Office of Financial Services to apply for and enter into the grant agreement through RES PH 17-186; and
WHEREAS, the grant funded development of a scalable suite of civic engagement tools accessible for all of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services wishes to increase the 2019 Financing and Spending budgets by carrying forward the spending authority for $5,337 unspent in 2018 through a use of fund balance; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $5,337 in excess of those estimated in the 2019 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $5,337 is available for appropriation in the 2019 Office of Financial Services budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council is hereby further amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
