Accepting the gift of the cost of registration and food expenses from Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for Sarah Brown, Mary Guerra, Jill LaCasse, Dolly Lee, and Melissa Zellmer to attend the annual National GFOA conference to be held in Los Angeles, California May 19 - 22, 2019.

WHEREAS, the Government Finance Officers Association ("GFOA") presented representatives from the City of Saint Paul with scholarships to attend the 2019 National GFOA conference, a conference for professional development for individuals in the public finance profession; and
WHEREAS, at the GFOA conference, Sarah Brown, Mary Guerra, Jill LaCasse, Dolly Lee, and Melissa Zellmer shared ideas, sharpened skills, discoved new tools and technologies, and networked with peers from across North America and around the world; and
WHEREAS, GFOA offered scholarships to Sarah Brown, Mary Guerra, Jill LaCasse, Dolly Lee, and Melissa Zellmer to cover the cost of the conference registration and daily lunch meals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at the conference is beneficial to the City by providing professional development of City finance personnel; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of the cost of registration and food expenses to the 2019 National GFOA conference, and thanks GFOA for its generous gift.
