Amending the grant award to Yoerg Brewing through the Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program.

WHEREAS, on February 13, 2019, the Neighborhood STAR Board reviewed a proposal from Yoerg Brewing Company for grant financing through the Neighborhood STAR Year-Round Program for plumbing and electrical upgrades required at 374-378 Maria Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood STAR Board rated this project a 3.1 on a scale from 1 (low) to 5 (high); and
WHEREAS, on February 20, 2019, Resolution #19-305 approved a $4,800 grant for this initiative; and
WHEREAS, due to the community significance of this establishment, on April 9, 2019, the Ward 7 City Council Office recommended an additional $4,200 of Neighborhood STAR Year-Round grant funds for this initiative; and
WHEREAS, a waiver to the Neighborhood STAR Guideline requiring a $1 for $1 private match is being recommended; and
WHEREAS, project activities occurring after November 25, 2018 are eligible for STAR dollars; and
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes and directs the appropriate City officials to implement this Resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development are further authorized and directed to proceed with all other actions necessary to implement this Resolution.
