WHEREAS Councilmember Jalali Nelson is the first Iranian American elected to public office in Minnesota and will be asked to share her experience with Iranian American change makers from across the country along with fellow panelists including Zahra Karinshak, Anna Eskamani and Shireen Ghorbani: therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the City of Saint Paul to accept the gift of up to $750 from the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) for lodging, airfare, and food expenses for Mitra Jalali Nelson to travel to Washington, DC on June 7 and 8, 2019.
