Authorizing the Fire Department to apply for and accept the 2019 Workplace Wellness grant funds in amount of $400.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is requesting permission to apply for and accept grant funds in amount of $400 in 2019 from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, as part of the grant the SPFD will enter into a 5 month collaborative learning relationship from May 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the 2019 Workplace Wellness grant will be used to create a physical activity station around health and wellness activities; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the grant will enhance the goals and objectives of the Saint Paul Fire Department health and wellness committee; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul authorizes the Fire Department to apply for and accept the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Grant for 2019 Workplace Wellness in the amount of $400 for 2019 and authorizes the appropriate City officials to execute the grant agreement.
