Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): The property was vacant during Quarter 4 2018. The property owner indicates that he did not receive invoices from the hauler or the mailings from the City Assessments office.
Staff Comments: Property owner claims that the property was vacant during Quarter 4 2018. It has now been sold. The City did not receive any notice of a vacancy. The property owner did not contact the City or the hauler to notify that the property was not occupied. The property owner is responsible for paying the Quarter 4 2018 bill, as service was provided during that time.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Trash Hauling during Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2018. (File No. CG1901C1, Assessment No. 190053) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
