Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Service Company license held by Jamal Omer Adem, d/b/a Airport Express Super Taxi (License ID320170003117) at 1540 Conway Street.

WHEREAS, the Taxicab Service Company license held by Jamal Omer Adem d/b/a Airport Express Super Taxi (License ID320170003117) for premises located at 1540 Conway Street in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Revoke License dated March 26, 2019, stating the licensee failed to pay delinquent license and late fees submit required information and maintain five (5) licensed taxicabs; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.17 (c) (1) requires that the licensee maintain no less than five (5) licensed affiliated taxicabs within the City of Saint Paul and
failure to do so would result in license revocation; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Revoke Licenses to pay the delinquent license and late fees, submit the required information and register a fifth vehicle; and
WHEREAS in addition, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Revoke License to request a public or administrative hearing or cancel the license; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Revoke License stated that if the licensee failed to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit the required information and register a fifth vehicle, request a public or administrative hearing or cancel the licenses by April 5, 2019, that the matter would be placed on the April 17, 2019 Consent Agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Taxicab Service Company license held by Jamal Omer Adem d/b/a Airport Express Super Taxi (License ID320170003117) for premises located at 1540 Conway Street in Saint Paul is hereby revoked.
