Title

Accepting additional grant funds in the amount of $7,515 from the Capitol Region Watershed District and amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Swede Hollow Stream project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is implementing improvements to stormwater resources for the improvement of water quality and wildlife habitat; and

 

WHEREAS, the City supports, and will continue to support, collaboration with the Capital Region Watershed District and other agencies and groups to provide resources for increasing water quality, and for providing a cleaner environment throughout the city; and

 

WHEREAS, the Clean Water Act, administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, mandates improvements in water quality; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded additional grant funds for  the Swede Hollow Stream project; and

 

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said funding and amend the financing and spending budget in the amount of $7,515 for the Swede Hollow Stream project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $7,515 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $7,515 is available for appropriation in the 2016 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
