Authorizing the City to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Ramsey County regarding the operation and maintenance of the traffic signals on the Trunk Highway 94 ramps at Lexington Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, MnDOT plans to replace the existing traffic signals on the Trunk Highway 94 ramps at County State Aid Highway 51 (Lexington Avenue); and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County has agreed to provide payment to MnDOT for the County's share of the costs of the project; and
WHEREAS, the reimbursement by Ramsey County to the City for the cost of furnishing cabinets and controllers will be addressed in a separate agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has agreed to provide for the operation and maintenance, including providing power, of the traffic control signals with signal pole mounted luminaires, accessible pedestrian signals, emergency vehicle pre-emption systems and signing, as outlined in the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement No.1032708, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
