Authorizing the Office of Financial Services outreach expenditures for Financial Empowerment events.
Body
WHEREAS, the City has established an Office of Financial Empowerment within the Office of Financial Services, (the “Office”); and
WHEREAS, this new Office will hold events and meetings with the public throughout 2019 to increase financial literacy, build wealth and empower Saint Paul residents; and
WHEREAS, the Office wishes to provide supplies, food and beverages as part of these events and meetings; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of money serves a public purpose in providing for opportunities for the public to engage with the Office and increase opportunities for financial empowerment in the City; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Office of Financial Services is hereby authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $3,000.00 for the purpose of providing supplies, food and beverages for up to 25 specific events during 2019.
