WHEREAS on February 20, 2019, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 19-5, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during March 12 to September 21, 2018. (File No. VB1905, Assessment No. 198804); and

 

WHEREAS, the property at 937 York Avenue, being described as: Nelson’s Addition Lot 24 Blk 5, with the property identification number 28-29-22-32-0058 was assessed an amount of $2284.00; and

 

WHEREAS, the previous owner, Jason Stockwell, called the office and indicated that the vacant building fee should be prorated as he received his code compliance certificate on December 10, 2018 which he would have been in the Vacant Building Program for 3 of the 12 months billable year; therefore, the Legislative Hearing Officer is recommending that the fee be reduced from $2284 to $500; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $2284, plus any accrued interests, be reduced to $500.
