Authorizing the Police Department to purchase water and refreshments for witnesses, victims, and suspects during critical incident investigations and assistance programs.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department would like to provide water, coffee, snacks and pop to witnesses, victims, suspects, and outside law enforcement agencies during critical incident investigations and assistance programs at the police department; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose is to provide an environment that facilitates law enforcement efforts and fosters trust and respect to the visitors to the department for these specific occasions; and
BE IT ORDERED, that pursuant to the 2019 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $1,200 to cover these expenses.
