Amending the spending budget for the Public Works Traffic Building and the Grant Fund related to the LED electrical retrofit.
Body
WHEREAS, The Public Works Traffic Building will contribute $28,228 to establish a project budget for the LED Retrofit; and
WHEREAS, Seventhwave will provide a complete lighting retrofit along with the associated controls; and
WHEREAS, Seventhwave will pay the City of Saint Paul $34,500 to offset a portion of the retrofit charge; and
WHEREAS, The grant has already been awarded by the Department of Energy on RES 19-3; and

WHEREAS, Xcel Energy will pay the City of Saint Paul $15,500 in rebates as an energy efficiency incentive; and
WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul will receive a 10% discount on all Cree product materials related to the retrofit; and
WHEREAS, this technology will reduce the heating, cooling, and fan energy costs within the traffic building; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $50,000 and reallocate $28,228 of the Public Works General Fund; now therefore be it:
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that a total of $78,228 is available for appropriation, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
