Knight Foundation Gift Acceptance Resolution

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Public Library Director has been invited to join the Knight Foundation at a Library Directors' meeting; and
WHEREAS, the the meeting will be held in Miami, Florida on February 24 and 25, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Knight Foundation has offered to pay for the costs of travel and lodging for the Director of the Saint Paul Public Library; and
WHEREAS,this opportunity will allow the SPPLA Director to work with and learn from other directors around the county and will build on previous discussions of how libraries can adapt and take advantage of emerging technology, and continue to explore themes around the role of public libraries in the digital age; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Public Library Board accepts the gift of travel and lodging for the Library Director to attend and thanks the Knight Foundation for its generous gift.
