Authorizing the Police Department to apply for a grant from the Grotto Foundation for the Law Enforcement Career Path Academy (LECPA) program.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department has received an invite from the Grotto Foundation to apply for a grant; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds would support the Law Enforcement Career Path Academy (LECPA) program; and
WHEREAS, the LECPA program supports diverse young adults to pursue a degree and work experience in law enforcement and aims to ensure that the police department personnel are representative of the residents of the City of Saint Paul; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Council authorizes the Saint Paul Police Department to submit this application for grant funding from the Grotto Foundation.
