Authoring the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $44,000 from the Friends and amending the 2019 Financing and Spending Plans in the Library Agency

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Public Library has been awarded a grant in the amount of $44,000 from the Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library to be use for public art; and
WHEREAS, the grant will fund the selected artist and be used to engage the Rondo and Frogtown communities and create a new facade art project for the Rondo Community Library, part of the Knight Arts Challenge: and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans for these monies has not been established; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $40,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2019 budget and recommends the changes to the 2019 budget described in the attached fiscal analysis; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Library Board approves the changes to the 2019 Budget, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Library Board is hereby amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
