Authorizing the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory to purchase food for educational programs.

WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education sponsors fee based programs to raise dollars for operating programs; and
WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education uses a number of Saint Paul businesses to provide food for the birthday party, adult, family classes, programs for 3s, small sprouts and Camp Como programs; and
WHEREAS, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education programs for 2019 are expected to generate a revenue of approximately $258,000; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Education Department is authorized to purchase food items and to pay companies providing the food for these programs in a total amount not to exceed $8,000 in 2019.
