WHEREAS, on December 12, 2018, pursuant to section 2.04 Saint Paul City Charter, Councilmember Dan Bostrom filed his resignation in writing with the City Clerk, effective December 31, 2018, thereby creating a vacancy in the office of councilmember for Ward 6 on the effective date.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, pursuant to Section 2.05 (A) of the Saint Paul City Charter, does hereby appoint Kassim Busuri as a city council member to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Councilmember Dan Bostrom, and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, this appointment is effective on February 6, 2019, immediately following the administration of the oath of office to Kassim Busuri, as required by Section 17.03 of the Saint Paul City Charter.
