Accepting the gift of use of a TR8 Techno Alpin snow gun for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation at the Como Park Ski Center (Como Regional Golf Course) for the 2018-2019 winter season.

WHEREAS, aging snow making equipment and inconsistent temperatures and snowfall have made the Department of Parks and Recreation’s downhill ski and snowboard program unreliable in recent years; and
WHEREAS, the Como Park Snowsports Booster Club has offered to loan the City of Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation use of a TR8 Techno Alpin snow gun valued at $2,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation’s downhill lesson program is jeopardized without the ability to make snow at average December temperatures; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the donation of use of a TR8 Techno Alpin snow gun for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation for the 2018-2019 winter season and thanks the Como Park Snowsports Booster Club for its generous gift.
