Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $100,000 for Cultural STAR Grant funds received for the Changsha China Friendship Garden in Phalen Regional Park.
Body
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2018, by Resolution #18-1918, the 2018 Round 2 Cultural Sales Tax Revitalization (STAR) Grant Program project awards will go before Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #18-1819 includes approval of a $100,000 Cultural STAR grant to the Changsha China Friendship Garden project; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation agrees to manage and administer said funds for the Changsha China Friendship Garden project; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Parks and Recreation to accept said funds and to amend the financing and spending budget for the project in the amount of $100,000; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $100,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2015 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $100,000 is available for appropriation in the 2015 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2015 budget, as therefore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended.
