Authorizing the Police Department to enter into an amended Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota to extend the agreement to complete the project.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to receive funding to use to implement an adapter to make its records management system compatible with Minnesota National Incident-Based Reporting System requirements for which the City of Saint Paul, Police Department is eligible (RES 17-861); and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota would like to amend the agreement to extend it through May 31, 2019 for the completion of the project; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves entering into and authorizes Assistant Chief Kathleen Wuorinen to implement the attached amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement.
