Authorizing a 3-year lease with TK 1 LLC to permit private parking on City property at 630 Pierce Butler Route.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul ("City") has received a request from the owner, TK 1 LLC ("Property Owner") of real property located at 633 Minnehaha Avenue West, ("Adjoining Property"), to use a portion of the city-owned land located immediately to the north of the Adjoining Property at 630 Pierce Butler Route ("City Property) for overflow parking for customers and employees of the businesses operating within the Adjoining Property; and

 

WHEREAS, the City has determined there is no immediate planned use of the identified portion of the City Property, and that a short-term lease with the Property Owner for the requested purpose is acceptable, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the proposed lease, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper city officials to execute said proposed lease with the Property Owner in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto; and be it further

 

RESOLVED, that rent payments be deposited in the proper city account as determined by the Department of Public Works.
