Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept Bee Real Bee Everywhere educational materials, valued at $9,000, from Public Art Saint Paul to facilitate future public engagement programs, and to thank Public Art Saint Paul for its generous gift.

WHEREAS, Public Art Saint Paul’s Bee Real Bee Everywhere project, a multi-faceted project that promotes awareness and habitat for pollinating insects in Saint Paul’s urban core, is concluding its final year of public engagement; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of Public Art Saint Paul to donate Bee Real Bee Everywhere educational materials to the Department of Parks and Recreation’s Natural Resources section to facilitate future public engagement programs; and
WHEREAS, Public Art Saint Paul’s donation, valued at $9,000, includes a cargo bicycle, bicycle helmets, a seed dispenser and native seeds, artwork, and print materials; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council finds that accepting these materials is consistent with the mission of the Natural Resources Section; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the Bee Real Bee Everywhere educational materials and thanks Public Art Saint Paul for its generous gift.
