Amending the Fleet Services budget to recognize $81,663.73 in fleet auction sales revenue to be used towards funding capital equipment.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council and Mayor Melvin Carter are dedicated to making Saint Paul one of the most sustainable cities in the United States; and
WHEREAS, timely and economic replacement of fleet equipment furthers these goals; and
WHEREAS, Fleet Services has netted auction revenue funds of $81,663.73 not included in its budget, through the disposal of vehicles and equipment in 2018; and
WHEREAS, funding capital purchases with the disposal revenue will allow Saint Paul to more economically and sustainably operate its fleet; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $81,663.73 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 budget for the funding of fleet capital equipment;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that $81,663.73 is available for appropriation for capital equipment replacement in the 2018 Fleet Services Fund budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
