Purpose of Appeal: The building is not currenly rented however we are actively marketing the space and hope to have a tenant soon Obviously the retail market is in poor shape and we are taking heavy losses on this property. A heavy fee would only further deprive the property and hurt the landlord. We contract local crews to inspect and maintain the property.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of David Malanga to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 678 SNELLING AVENUE NORTH, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 90 days; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
