Authorizing the City to enter into Cooperative Agreement No. 1032118 with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the City of Falcon Heights, and the Minnesota State Agricultural Society for replacement of a traffic signal on Trunk Highway 51 (Snelling) at Hoyt Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, MnDOT plans to replace the existing traffic signal on Snelling at Hoyt Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, the City of Falcon Heights and the Minnesota State Agricultural Society have agreed to provide for payment to the State of their share of the costs of the traffic control signal construction and other associated construction to be performed upon, along and adjacent to Snelling at Hoyt Avenue under State Aid Project Numbers 124-010-001 and 164-010-073 and State Project No. 6216-136; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, the City of Falcon Heights and the Minnesota State Agricultural Society have agreed to participate in the operation and maintenance of the new signal system, as outlined in the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement No. 1032118, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
