Approving the operation and maintenance costs for an electrically powered decorative bench to be added to the Ford Parkway/Cleveland area above-standard lighting district. (Ford Parkway Streetscape project)

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 14-145 approved the improvements on Ford Parkway from Mississippi River Boulevard to east of Kenneth Street, and Cleveland from Hillcrest to Bayard; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 12 of the Administrative Code states that for capital projects the City shall dedicate one percent of the eligible project costs to be used for public art; and
WHEREAS, the lighted bench is public art that will require annual operation and maintenance costs; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the annual operation and maintenance costs for lighting the decorative bench at Ford Parkway and Cleveland be added to the Ford Parkway/Cleveland area above-standard lighting district.
