Approving the Mayor’s appointment of Kevin Lindsey to a second, five-year term on the board of commissioners of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency.

WHEREAS, Chapter 228 Minnesota Laws 1977 (“Laws”) provides that the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency shall consist of seven commissioners who shall be residents of the city and that five of the commissioners shall be non-tenant commissioners whoshall each serve five-year terms; and
WHEREAS, on August 28, 2013 the City Council passed RES 13-1266 approving Mayor Chris Coleman’s appointment of Kevin Lindsey to the board of commissioners of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency; and
WHEREAS, Kevin Lindsay has expressed interest in being reappointed to second term as a member of board of commissioners of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency; and
WHEREAS, Kevin Lindsey has been recommended for reappointment by the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency board of commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Melvin Carter wishes to be reappointment Kevin Lindsey to a second, five-year term on the board of commissioners of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council consents to the reappointment of Kevin Lindsey to a second, five- year term ending November 1, 2023 as a member of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency board of commissioners.
