Title

Establishing a Community Advisory Committee for the position of Director of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity pursuant to the provisions Section 11.01 of the Administrative Code.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Section 11.01 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code provides that, when a vacancy occurs in the position of Director of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity, the Mayor and Council shall pass an ordinance to create a Community Advisory Committee to advise the mayor on the selection of the new Director; and

 

WHEREAS, a vacancy will occur in the position of Director of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity on October 2, 2018; now, therefore

 

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:

 

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 11.01 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the Council hereby creates a Community Advisory Committee to advise the mayor on the selection of the new Director of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity.

 

That the people appointed to serve on the Community Advisory Committee are listed in the attachment to this Ordinance.

 

That, once this Ordinance is effective, the community advisory committee shall immediately arrange for an examination to determine eligible persons to fill the vacancy and make its recommendation to the mayor.

 

This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days following its passage, approval and publication.
