American Library Association Gift Acceptance Resolution

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Public Library Agency was asked to participate in a project that will standardize best practices for new Americans in public libraries; and
WHEREAS, the grant will require that one Library staff member attend a round table discussion and workshop in Chicago, Illinois from October 21-22, 2018 hosted by the American Library Association; and
WHEREAS, the American Library Association has offered to pay for the costs of travel, meals and lodging for one city participant; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conference will further the goal of supporting and standardizing services for new Americans for the Library; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Public Library Board accepts the gift of travel, meals and lodging for a Library staff member to attend the round table discussion and workshop and thanks the American Library Association for its generous gift.
