Title

Amending the finance and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $400,000 to reflect a Federal Land Access Program (FLAP) grant received for the Robert Piram Regional Trail project.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council, by its resolution CF #18-548, approved the Department of Parks and Recreation’s submittal of a Federal Land Access Program (FLAP) Grant in the amount of $400,000 for the Robert Piram Regional Trail project; and

 

WHEREAS, the project will develop the Robert Piram Trail, an off-road, multi-use trail along the Mississippi River, located between Dakota County’s Big Rivers Trail in Saint Paul and Kaposia Landing Park in South St. Paul, completing an approximate 15-mile gap of off-road trail that runs alongside the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to amend the 2017 Capital Budget in the amount of $400,000 to reflect additional funds available for this project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $400,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $400,000 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2017 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended.
