Purpose of Appeal: Don't feel it is vacant nor was it ever vacant. We have been staying there all this time. Cooperating with City officials.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Appellants came in to file an appeal on a Summary Abatement Order, but it was too late to appeal that order. Staff found a Vacant Building Registration Notice dated 8/15/18 that appellants were not aware of. They are appealing this order instead. They requested the $25 filing fee be waived because they just filed bankruptcy. This request was granted by the Legislative Hearing Officer because the appellants were previously represented by SMRLS.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Louis and Gina Yanez to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 740 WASECA STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
