Approving and authorizing acceptance of Contamination Cleanup and Investigation grants from the Department of Employment and Economic Development; Livable Communities Transit Oriented Development Grants, Livable Communities Demonstration Account Grants, and Livable Communities Tax Base Revitalization Account Grants, from the Metropolitan Council; and amending the 2018 Budget.

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council on:

§                     April 27, 2018, by Resolution number 18-591, authorized the Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development to submit applications to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for Contamination Cleanup and Investigation Grants and the Metropolitan Council Tax Base Revitalization Account Cleanup and Site Investigation Grants for projects at the 7th and Bush, 7th Street Village, Ain Dah Yung Supportive Housing, Millberry Apartments/Legends at Berry, Metro Deaf School, M.O.E. Craft Company, North West University and Dale, Oak Dale Development, Park and Como, Rice and Sycamore Family Housing, Riverwalk, and Snelling and St. Clair Mixed-Use Redevelopment sites;

§                     May 2, 2018, by Resolution number 18-649, authorized its Department of Planning & Economic Development to submit on behalf of the City an application for Metropolitan Council Livable Communities TOD grant funds for the TOD Project component(s) identified in the application, and to execute such agreements as may be necessary to implement the TOD Project on behalf of the City. These projects include: Downtown St. Paul YMCA Re-imagination, Park and Como, and North West Corner of University and Dale; 

§                     May 18, 2018, by Resolution number 18-763, authorized the Department of

Planning and Economic Development to submit an application for Metropolitan Council Tax Base Revitalization Account grant funds for the Stryker Avenue Site;
