Approving public comments on the 2020 Census.

WHEREAS the Department of Commerce is seeking comments on proposed changes to questions on the U.S. Census; and
WHEREAS the residents of Saint Paul have a vested interest in ensuring a complete and fair count of all residents in determining representation at the federal and state governments; and
WHEREAS members of the City Council have deep concerns about the inclusion of a question on citizenship;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the attached letter be submitted to the Department of Commerce.
