Authorizing the appropriate City officials to enter into Memorandums of Understanding with participating VISTA Sites.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for the period of the 2018-2019 VISTA program year, pursuant to which it will act as a Sponsor organization; and
WHEREAS,
* Saint Paul Public Libraries ($8,400 cost- share/ 2 VISTAs)
* Saint Paul Parks and Recreation ($8,400 cost-share/ 2 VISTAs)
* Saint Paul Public Schools ($8,400 cost share/ 2 VISTAs)
* Saint Paul Public Housing Agency ($4,200 cost-share)
* St. Paul Ramsey County Public Health ($4,200 cost-share)
* Minnesota Children's Museum ($4,200 cost-share)
* Lifetrack Resources ($4,200 cost-share)
* Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood ($4,200 cost-share)
* Saint Paul Mayor's Office/ VISTA Leader (program sponsor/ no cost-share)
will be Participating Sites with a VISTA member placed at each Site, and each Participating Site will contribute cost-share funding for the position (as indicated); and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the process and obtain funds from the Participating Sites the City needs to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with each Participating Site; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul supports Saint Paul VISTA Program involvement and authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into Memorandums of Understanding as outlined in the attached document.
