Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for grant funds of $1,000 from Target and, if awarded, accept and enter into a grant agreement.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation is requesting permission to apply for and accept $1,000 in grant funds from Target to support youth soccer; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will provide fee waivers for economically disadvantaged youth interested in playing soccer; and
WHEREAS, there is no required match of these funds by the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Parks and Recreation Department to apply for and if awarded accept these funds.
