Declaring the surplus of fee title to property east of Rice Street, north of Country Drive, and south of Trunk Highway 694 in the City of Little Canada.

WHEREAS, ownership of the real property described below, (“Property”), is held in the name of the City of Saint Paul for benefit of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul ("Board"):
Lots 1 through 7, Lots 22 through 28, Block 2, Rice St. Motor Line Addition, together with Lots 13 through 21, Block 1, Rice St. Motor Line Addition and vacated alleys accruing thereto, subject to street and highway rights-of-way, Ramsey County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, Board staff have determined that the Property is not required for current or future maintenance, construction, improvement or operation of the Board’s water works system; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County desires to acquire interests in the Property for the proposed reconstruction and improvement of Rice Street and Trunk Highway 694, Ramsey County Project P-3382; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to have title to the Property in the Board’s name so it can proceed with negotiating the sale of the Property; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby declare the Property to be surplus and does hereby direct staff to proceed with the disposal of said Property; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board did adopt Board Resolution No. 18-912 and does hereby request the Honorable City Council of the City of Saint Paul to concur with the Board and to declare said Property to be surplus; and, be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby request the City of Saint Paul to quitclaim in favor of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul any and all interests it may hold in said Property.
