Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs incurred for the department Innovation Team meeting on May 29, 2018 at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department is holding a department Innovation Team meeting on May 29, 2018 at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center; and

 

WHEREAS, the purpose of this meeting is to develop department goals and initiatives and the department would like to supply lunch for the Fire employees attending the meeting because it is held during the lunch hour; and


WHEREAS, this meeting will include 50 Fire department employees and based on the operational staffing and needs of the city it will maximize productivity to have this meeting be a working lunch that is held between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm; and

WHEREAS, the expenditure of money for the lunch serves a public purpose by coming together as a department to discuss the initiatives of Mayor Carter and the Fire Department administration; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds not to exceed $500 to provide lunch for the Innovation Team meeting.
