Title

Authorizing the Police Department to expense food, beverage and admittance costs for officers required to attend community events and meetings.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department operates and supports several programs that create community partnerships,

WHEREAS, these programs include community events and meetings where officer participation is essential to further community connections and partnerships; and

 

WHEREAS, the public purpose is to foster the department’s commitment to trusted service with respect in the community; and

 

WHEREAS, Saint Paul Police Department is requesting authorization to expense food, beverage and admittance costs to the Police 2018 General Fund and Special Fund budgets for officers who are required to be in attendance; and NOW THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the 2018 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $3,000 to cover these expenses.
