WHEREAS on January 17, 2018, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File RLH AR 17-91, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Vacant Building Registration Fees billed during March 27 to June 21, 2017 at 1460 Nevada Avenue East. (File No. VB1802, Assessment No. 188801); and
WHEREAS, the property at 1460 Nevada Avenue East, being described as: Ides Outlots Subj To Ave Over N End And Ex S 133 Ft The W 53 04/100 Ft Of E 188 04/100 Ft Of Lot 9, with the property identification number 22-29-22-24-0141 was assessed an amount of $4,389; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommended deleting the $4389 assessment which covers 2 years of vacant building fees because: 1) the 2016-17 VB fee was waived by staff in increments for one year and then the fee was assessed as a part of the 2017-18 VB Reg fee; 2) the fee was processed as an assessment before the final waiver expired; and 3) the assessment was not included in the published and publicly noticed assessment roll through a computer error; and
WHERAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends this deleted assessment be re-assessed in the correct amount for the correct time period; Now, Therefore Be It,
RESOLVED, that Council File RLH AR 17-91 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
