Authorizing Fleet to use fund balance, built and unspent in 2017, to increase the 2018 Financing and Spending budgets in the Fleet budget by $249,500 to purchase equipment.
Body
WHEREAS, Fleet intended to purchase and budgeted for four vehicles in 2017 for a total of $249,500; and
WHEREAS, the State contract for this purchase was delayed beyond the end of the City’s 2017 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Fleet’s budget was underspent in 2017 due to this delay; and
WHEREAS, Fleet is now able to place the order for the four vehicles with the State; and
WHEREAS, Fleet wishes to increase the 2018 Financing and Spending budgets by carrying forward the spending authority unspent in 2017 through a use of fund balance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $249,500 is available for appropriation in the 2018 Fleet budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council is hereby further amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
