Purpose of Appeal: I missed a reinspection date. I need more time for repairs because of costs. My son, who occupies this house we've owned for 30 years, was unemployed over the winter. He went back to work as an iron worker. We have been managing numerous City of St. Paul demands and inspections in 2017. I am juggling several fees and fines because of inspections. We need additional time to make necessary repairs because of affordability. Thank you.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Gabrielle Strong to a Revocation of Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Order to Vacate at 244 BAKER STREET WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal on the revocation of the fire certificate of occupancy if the following deadline extensions are met: 1) June 1, 2018 for Item 7 (dryer vent), Item 8 (basement vent fan or remove toilet) and Item 13 (protective globe); 2) grant to July 1, 2018 for scraping & painting of the garage; and 3) grant to March 16, 2018 for compliance with the other orders; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
