Establishing the rate of pay for the new classification of Operations and Laborer Trainee in the new Grade of 027 of EG 71.
Body
WHEREAS, a new classification of Operations and Laborer Trainee was created; and
WHEREAS, an organizational design study was conducted at the request of the Human Resources Department and the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the result of the organizational design study instructs that the rate of pay for the new classification of Operations and Laborer Trainee be established at the rate set forth in Grade 027 of Employee Group 71, the LIUNA, Local #363 Salary Schedule with salary rates as follows:
Grade Step Hourly Rate
027 1: 1st 1040 hours 16.00
027 2: 2nd 1040+ - 2080 hours 20.00,
now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, pursuant to City Charter Sections 6.03.3 (5) and 12.01, that the rate of pay for the new classification of Operations and Laborer Trainee be established at the rate set forth in Grade 027 of Employee Group 71, the LIUNA, Local #363 Salary Schedule with salary rates as follows:
Grade Step Hourly Rate
027 1: 1st 1040 hours 16.00
027 2: 2nd 1040+ - 2080 hours 20.00
This salary rate shall take effect and be in force on the first pay period following its passage and approval.
