Announcing the Second Annual Saint Paul Business Awards Ceremony on April 11, 2018.

Whereas, Saint Paul has a prosperous, engaged and thriving business community that is one of our city’s most valuable resources; and
Whereas, Saint Paul companies, from small businesses to major employers, new start-ups to generations-old family firms, provide jobs and services to residents and a solid foundation for our city’s growth and prosperity; and
Whereas, these companies deserve not only the city’s support but recognition for their many contributions to our community; and
Whereas, as part of the city’s efforts to recognize the outstanding businesses that call Saint Paul home, in 2017 the city launched the Saint Paul Business Awards Program to honor local businesses that provide critical services, contribute to our community, invest in their employees and are committed to our values of equity and diversity; and
Whereas, nominations from the community at large are encouraged and the deadline for those nominations is February 24; and
Whereas, a selection committee of their peers and former award winners will review the applications and select this year’s winners;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that on April 11, the Saint Paul City Council will host the Second Annual Saint Paul Business Awards and host a celebration for the Saint Paul business community.
