Amending the 2017 Financing and Spending Plan in the Department of Planning and Economic Development to reflect a Livable Communities Act Transit Oriented Development grant from the Metropolitan Council.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council, on July 12, 2017, by RES 17-972, authorized the Department of Planning and Economic Development to submit an application to the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Transit-Oriented Development fund for the following projects:
1. 1919 University Avenue (MetroPlains Management) for $550,000.00
2. North-West-University-Dale (Neighborhood Development Center) for $1,450,000.00
and
WHEREAS, RES 17-972 further authorized the Department of Planning and Economic Development to execute agreements for Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Transit-Oriented Development grants on behalf of the City for the above-named projects; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved the application for the Livable Communities Act Transit Oriented Development grant for the North-West-University-Dale project in the amount of $1,450,000.00; and
WHEREAS, upon execution of the above-described grant agreement, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $1,450,000.00 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2017 budget and recommends the changes to the 2017 budget identified on the attached Financial Analysis; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, that $1,450,000.00 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Budget; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said budget, as adopted by Council, is hereby amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
